An eleven-member board of directors governs the Bixby Knolls Business Improvement Association. Directors are elected for two-year terms and may serve up to three consecutive terms. To provide the organization with continuity, board seats are rotated so that five directors are elected one year and six are elected the following year.
To insure that there is equal representation throughout the district, directors are elected from five different areas. Three directors represent Atlantic Avenue, three directors represent Long Beach Boulevard, two directors represent the Wardlow Road Area, one director from the Bixby Knolls Shopping Center and two At Large Directors may be from any area in the district. |
